Solar glare control

Intent: 

To avoid glare from the sun by blocking or reflecting direct sunlight away from occupants.

    Are glazed doors (including terrace doors) included within this scope?

    Yes, if the door has exterior envelope glazing, it requires a shading system.

    Are skylights included in the scope of this feature?

    Yes, since they can be major sources of glare.

    The external shading systems our project is installing are not controllable by the occupants but are set on a timer. Would it fulfill the intent of the feature?

    If the external shading is not controlled by the occupants, then the system must be set to automatically set to prevent glare.
