Right to light
Intent:
To promote exposure to daylight and views of varying distances by limiting the distance workstations can be from a window or atrium.
Each individual apartment must meet Feature 61 requirements. Every room in the apartment does not need to meet the requirements, but all regularly occupied space, which in multifamily family projects includes bedrooms, living rooms, dinning rooms, work rooms and kitchens, in the aggregate must meet the requirements as written.
The project should calculate the percentage of the office that is within 7.5 m (25 ft) of any exterior wall with a view window. The occupants direct line of sight does not need to be considered when calculating.
