Radiant thermal comfort
Intent:
To maximize floor space, reduce dust transmission and increase thermal comfort by incorporating radiant heat and cooling systems into the building design.
Although steam radiators do have higher radiant heat exchange compared to regular hot water radiators, they do not quality as radiant heating. The majority of heat is still released by means of convection, and there is a very high surface temperature that is not perceived as comfortable as low temperature heating with radiant systems.
"Common spaces" are areas for use by more than one tenant, such as a lobby. It does not include any single-tenant spaces such as conference rooms, break rooms, or assembly rooms. Thus, Part 1 is generally not applicable to interiors projects.
