Beauty and design I
Intent:
To thoughtfully create unique and culturally-rich spaces.
No, if the facility is not open to the public, public art would be considered art that is visible to the occupants of the building.
This feature is intentionally not prescriptive to allow for project teams to offer their own interpretation of beauty and mindful design. A Professional Narrative describing how these requirements are met is the necessary documentation. Some examples of elements project teams have included to successfully meet this feature include incorporation of public art from local artists or that highlights local culture, images or design elements that highlight the local area, and images or decals that highlight the company's history and motto.
