Smoking ban

Intent: 

To deter smoking, minimize occupant exposure to second hand smoke, and reduce smoke pollution.

Exits dedicated for egress during emergencies are not required to have signage or ban smoking within their vicinity.

Projects are required to implement the ban and mount signage within their project boundary only.

Yes. As the owner of the building, the developer is required to have a policy that meets the Feature 2 Smoking Ban requirement within the tenant spaces. More information about Core and Shell project scope can be found in the Core and Shell Scope Matrix support page.
